Rooms with character
Our guesthouse can accommodate up to 45 guests, spread over 19 rooms, each with its own name and character. Most rooms are located in our château, a characteristic building with a rich history. The rooms vary in size and are suitable for 1, 2, 3, or 4 people. Please note: there are no ground-floor rooms; all rooms are located on the upper floors.
All stays in our guest rooms include breakfast as standard. You can choose between rooms with shared bathrooms or rooms with a private shower and toilet (available for an additional fee). All rooms are provided with bed linen, and rooms with private bathrooms also include a bath towel. Every room has a wired internet connection (no Wi-Fi).
Enjoy delicious, fresh organic meals
You can also savor delicious, fresh organic meals at our buffet. In our flavorful vegetarian kitchen, we use ingredients as much as possible from our own garden. Our bread is baked fresh daily in our bakery, and we use dairy from our own goat farm.
Meals are served in our cozy dining hall, and when the weather is nice, you can also enjoy your breakfast, lunch, or dinner outside in peace and quiet.
You can choose from:
- Bed & Breakfast: breakfast included, with the option to sign up for lunch or dinner on a daily basis.
- Half Board: breakfast and dinner included.
- Full Board: breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.
With half board or full board, coffee and tea are available throughout the day.
Do you have dietary requirements? Please indicate them on the booking form. We can accommodate gluten-free and/or lactose-free diets.
Check-in and check-out
On the day of arrival, you are welcome to check in between 4:00 PM and 9:00 PM in the summer, and between 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM outside the summer season.
On the day of departure, we kindly ask that you vacate your room by 9:30 AM.

Good to know!
Radiation-free stay: For the well-being of our community and our radiation-sensitive residents, participants, and guests, we ask everyone (residents, participants, and visitors) to switch all mobile phones, laptops, tablets, smartwatches, and other electronic devices to airplane mode or turn them off while on any of our grounds (Thietry, the goat farm, Forge Neuve, the teahouse, and the swimming lake).
In the guest rooms, rental accommodations, and the general information/library area, wired internet (Ethernet) is available for guests to use. Additionally, there is an internet access point in the parking area with a login code for those who need to use their phone, laptop, or tablet intentionally at certain times.

Biodegradable products: To protect our natural water treatment system, we kindly ask that you use only biodegradable personal care products (such as toothpaste, shampoo, dish soap, and sunscreen).
Smoke-free grounds:All our grounds (Thietry, Forge Neuve, and the goat farm) are smoke-free, including e-cigarettes. Smoking is only permitted outside the grounds.
Children’s festival: One week in August, our grounds host the Children’s Festival ("het Eigentijds Kinderfestival"). During this week, there will be a lively, festive atmosphere, which means the usual peace and quiet may be less prominent. For exact dates, please check the Children’s Festival website.
Dogs: Calm dogs are welcome at Ecolonie. However, we kindly ask you to respect a few rules: dogs must always be kept on a leash on the premises and walked outside the grounds. During mealtimes, dogs are not allowed in the dining room. Are you staying in a guest room? Then you will need to bring your own mat or crate for your dog.

Additional costs & discounts
- Surcharge for a room with private bathroom: €20 per room per night.
- Surcharge for a 1-night stay: €10 per person.
- Pet fee: €5 per night for a dog.
- Discount for 3rd and 4th person in a room (from 13 years old): €15 off total accommodation costs.
- Children up to 4 years old: Stay for free in the room with parents (also ask about our family discount).
- Stay of more than 14 consecutive nights: Get a 20% discount on the nights after the first 14.
Delicious organic meals
We offer delicious vegetarian organic meals every day. We cook with as many fresh vegetables from our own garden as possible. Good to know: in some cases, we can accommodate dietary preferences.
If you don't book full board, you still have the option to sign up for the (other) meals. You can do this on-site, daily before 10:30 AM.

The environment
We have a water purifying system (sand filters). To protect our natural water treatment system, we kindly ask that you use only biodegradable (personal care) products, such as toothpaste, shampoo, dish soap, and sunscreen. In our shop (La Vie Verte) we have a great collection of (homemade) biodegradable products.
